One of the ways you can help the Tri-City Area United Way is to make a donation.
 
Volunteering Opportunities

People who volunteer fill a special need in our community.  There are openings to work with children, seniors, indoors, long term and short term projects.  These are some opportunities in the area where You Can Help.  211 Infolink is a program of Tri-City Area United Way.  Phone numbers are 211, 1-888-328-1119, 1-715-735-7555

  • Alliance Against Abuse will be having a Candlelight Vigil on October 9 at 6:00pm.  Volunteers are needed to play guitar and/or sing for this event.  Please contact Mary 906-863-1116
  • Creative decorators and painters needed for the upstairs of St. Vincent de Paul Store in Marinette. Please contact Jeanne at 715-923-9549.
  • Need volunteer opportunities for juveniles that are first time offenders and have non-violent offenses(ex: shoplifting, smoking, curfew)  Please contact 906-863-7841 X1535 Bryanne 
  • Community Action Agency (Menominee, Delta, Schoolcraft) Early Childhood/Head Start need volunteers for the following:  reading, talking and listening to children, assisting  in the learning center classrooms and with childrens's projects preparing materials for teachers and staff.  Also helping children in the winter with coats and boots, maintaining playground, repairing equipment and toys, and helping with meals.  Please call Lucy at 906-786-7080 X135 or 1-800-562-9131 
  • Haven of Hope (Emergency Shelter facility for homeless) is looking for volunteers to help with the replacing of the shelters roof and other maintenance projects.  Please call Dorothy at 715-735-3684. 
  • Marinette County Elderly Services need volunteers.  For more information please contact Donna 715-854-7453. 
  • The Delta-Menominee County Department of Human Services is looking for adult volunteers to supervise parent-child visits for children's protective service cases.  Mileage reimbursement is available.  Contact Denise Perry CRC at 906-863-1418 Menominee and 906-789-7238 Escanaba.
  •  Menominee County Department of Human Services can use transporter for local and long distance medical appointments.  Mileage reimbursement is available.  Please contact Denise 906-863-1418 Menominee or 906-789-7238 Escanabe.

These volunteer opportunities are provided by 211 Infolink, an information and referral service for Marinette, Oconto, Door, Kewaunee, Shawano, Florence, Langlade, Menominee, WI counties.  If you belong to a community organization that could use some help, contact 211 Infolink at the above number to be included on this list.  211 Infolink has an Inclusion/Exclusion policy of all agencies and programs in our database that is available upon request.
