Our goal is long lasting changes that prevents problems from happening in the first place.  Here in the Tri-City Area, we're focused on critical issues like:


Promoting Independance and Economic Self-Sufficiency

  • Helping individuals or families become more financially independant and less dependant on human services
  • Connecting working families to asset development; financial literacy and workforce development programs
American Red Cross - Disaster Services

Disaster services respond to all types of emergencies, including: single-family fires, tornadoes, flooding, chemical spills and feeding emergency personnel at responce sites.  Immediate shelter, food and clothing is given.  Disaster Services also insures a system of disaster planning, preparedness, community disaster education, and mitigation volunteers are on call 24/7, 365 days a year.

American Red Cross - Blood Services

Blood services provide our local area with blood and blood products that are safe and reliable.  With every 150 pints, there is a potential of helping 429 lives.  Each hall is donated for our drives and our volunteers are very generous in donating their time.

Rainbow House - Emergency Shelter

United Way funds an emergency shelter, which provides a safe place for victims of domestic voilence and their children.  Without this program there is no safe place to go when victims are threatened and are in crisis.  Open 24 hours and confidential.

CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocate

Collaborates with attourneys, schools, and other agencies in the community who provide legal services to the child and family.

Salvation Army - Christian Manna Program

This program is designed to address the needs of the hungry and lonely people of the community.  A warm meal is provided every evening at 4:45pm, Mondat through Friday.

Salvation Army - Food Pantry

Provides food for those who are suffering from temporary set backs.

Salvation Army - Rental Assistance

Provides financial assistance for those who are suffering from temporary set backs.

Sexual Assault Center of Oconto Coun ty
Family Services of Northeastern Wisconsin

The Sexual Assault Center provides services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for victims of sexual violence, their families and friends.  Services are confidential and free of charge.  The Sexual Assault Center provides services for women, men and children.  Supportive counceling, medical assistance and support groups are also available.

Provides basic non-emergency medican care for the uninsured and under-insured residents of Marinette and Menominee counties.
Handicapped United, INC.

Allows the handicapped and elderly to participate in community events and other services offered within the community.
Marinette County Elderly Services
Home Delivered Meals for Marinette County

United Way allocation helps defray the cost of the home-delivered meals to older persons in Marinette county.
Menominee Community Action
Home Delivered Meals for Menominee County

United Way funds the home-delivered meals program, which provides nutricious meals to homebound residents in Menominee County.
Respite Care of Marinette & Menominee Counties

Provides cost-free relief for individuals or families caring for a seriously or terrminally ill loved one in Marinette and Menominee counties.
